1-452410201 Warlord Games, Clockwork Goblin KONFLIKT '47: German 28mm Zeus Heavy Panzermech The Zeus panzermech was built to operate as a tank hunter in difficult terrain or to assist the Thor panzermechs in reaching their urban targets. Unsuited to the urban role, once the Thors were delivered to the target, the Zeus often protected the flanks of an assault, preventing enemy armour from cutting off the attacking forces' lines of supply.

Whilst it's main purpose is being support and protecting flanks, it is nearly just as capable as the Thor panzermechs to be on the front. But, putting Thor and Zeus panzermechs together would even make the earth tremble.

Certainly being a tough nut to crack, you can place the Zeus into any combat situation and nearly guarantee it's survival. As perfect as it looks as a centre piece it also becomes the ideal distraction. So big and deadly your opponent will be avoiding it completely or throwing everything they have it at. Use that time to strike!

1-452410803 Warlord Games, Clockwork Goblin KONFLIKT '47: Soviet Mammoth Walker Having suffered terribly at the hands of German Thor and Zeus heavy panzermechs, the Soviets put a tremendous effort into replicating their effect. After capturing a Thor, they were able to replicate much of the multi-leg technology.

Picturing the Mammoth as a mobile bunker rather than a combat vehicle, they returned to the multi-turret concept of the mid-war years. With better armour and weapons, its performance far outweighs its predecessors such as the T-35.

Literally a mobile weapons platform there is nothing this beast can't do. With such a variety of weapons, the Mammoth can literally take on whole platoons on it's own and it's strong enough to take the hits back! Make sure you back it up with some hefty anti-tank!1 vol, 8 pgs 2016 UK, WARLORD GAMES

1-213840 Augustus J. Veenendaal and H. Until recently, the mobility of large armies generally depended on control of railways to move reinforcements, ammunition, and food, as the locomotive and railway cars proved far superior to animal-drawn equipment. 1-213810 Cogswell, Neil LOBOSITZ TO LEUTHEN: Horace St Paul and the Seven Years War, 1756-1757 This reprint is a compilation of several volumes of Neil Cogswell's work published under the Gralene imprint.

Outlawed from England in 1751 from dueling, St Paul fled to France and then to Brussels, where he was accepted at the Court of Prince Charles of Lorraine, Governor-General of the Austrian Netherlands and brother-in-law of Maria Theresa, the Empress Queen.

In 1756, Frederic II of Prussia invaded Saxony thereby precipitating a general war in Europe. Prince Charles of Lorraine confidently expected to be appointed to the chief command of the Austrian army, once it was fully mobilized. The Prince thought sufficiently well of St Paul to offer him a post at his side as aide-de-camp and sent him to join Marshal Browne, then commanding in Bohemia, as a volunteer to learn something of soldiering.

St Paul joined Marshal Browne shortly before the Austrian army advanced to attempt to relieve the Saxons, then besieged at Pirna. Having no regimental duties St Paul kept a journal of the day to day operations of the Austrians, thereby learning his new trade. He was present at the first major action of the war at Lobositz.

The following year, now in the suite of Prince Charles of Lorraine, St Paul was present at the great battle outside Prague and was subsequently besieged in that city. He was also in a position to gather eyewitness accounts of other actions -- notably that at Kolin -- as he accompanied the victorious Austrian forces on their advance from Bohemia into Silesia while the King of Prussia was away seeking to prevent the armies of France and the Empire from re-conquering Saxony.

Once in Silesia the Austrian army besieged and stormed the great fortress of Schweidnitz and then crushed the remains of the Prussian army outside Breslau and captured that Capital city. Nike, the capricious Goddess of Victory, had crowned the triumphant Austrians. Nemesis, the Goddess of Retribution, had other ideas. One month after his stunning victory over the French and Empire forces at Rossbach, King Frederic of Prussia hurled his outnumbered and weary troops against the Austrians at Leuthen just outside Breslau.

The Journal of St Paul is a day-by-day account. Accompanying the text are a detailed Gazeteer, Lists of Persons and Regiments, and 232 plates of maps and plans.1 vol, 536 pgs 2017 UK, HELION AND COMPANY

1-213880 Finazzer, Enrico LIGHT TRUCKS OF THE ITALIAN ARMY IN WWII This book provides a detailed account of specialized WWII light gun trucks produced by Italian industry between mid-1942 and mid-1943. The Regio Esercito requested an Automezzo Speciale (Special truck), or, more currently, camionette, industry responded with the AS42 and the AS43, (AS standing for Autocarro Speciale). Contains 100+ b/w photos, scale Plans, and color profiles.

These vehicles were meant to be used in desert warfare, issued to the unit called the Raggruppamento Sahariano, (Saharan Group). The trucks were to be used in action against the British Long Range Desert Group, or, for special operations behind enemy lines with Italian special forces designated the X Reggimento Arditi.

The vehicles came too late and in too small a number to make a real impact in that theater. After the fall of Africa, they were diverted to several different units as anti-paratrooper companies or anti-bridgehead mobile battalions in Sicily and in the Italian mainland.

After the Italian Armistice, they served with German troops and with the armed forces of the Repubblica Sociale Italiana.1 vol, 64 pgs 2017 US, MMP BOOKS

1-213780 Zetterling, Niklas BLITZKRIEG FROM THE GROUND UP An examination of the German Blitzkrieg operations -- and why they were so successful -- from Poland to Operation Barbarossa using accounts previously unpublished in English by the enlisted men and junior officers.

It has been argued that German victories in the early part of the war rested less upon newly developed tanks and aircraft and more on German military traditions: rather than creating a new way of war based on new technology, the Germans fitted the new weapons into their existing ideas on warfare. These doctrines focused on independent action, initiative, flexibility, decentralized decision-making, and mobility. The conduct of German soldiers, particularly the lower-ranking men, on the battlefield was at the core of the concept and German victories rested upon the quality of the small combat units.

These narratives fit into a broader perspective to offer a better understanding of why the Germans were so successful in 1939-41.1 vol, 288 pgs 2017 UK, PEN & SWORD

1-213790 Bridgland, Fred THE WAR FOR AFRICA: Twelve Months that Transformed a Continent This classic account of a Cold War struggle and its momentous consequences for the participants and across the continent, is released in a new edition with a new preface and epilogue.

The story of the Cuban-South African war in Angola in 1987-88 through the eyes of the South Africans who fought in it. Beginning as a power struggle between two former liberation movements, the MPLA and UNITA, the Angolan Civil War became a Cold War struggle with involvement from the Soviet Union, Cuba, South Africa and the USA.

This book examines the height of the Cuban-South African fighting in Angola in 1987-88, when 3,000 South African soldiers and about 8,000 UNITA guerrilla fighters fought in alliance against the Cubans and the armed forces of the Marxist MPLA government, a force of over 50,000 men. Bridgland pieced together the course of the war, fought in one of the world's most remote and wild terrain, by interviewing the South Africans who fought it, and many of their accounts are woven into the narrative. 1 vol, 0 pgs 2017 UK, PEN & SWORD
