THE IMPERIAL ARMY in the Age of Prince Eugene of Savoy 1690-1720: The infantry - Volume 3

THE IMPERIAL ARMY in the Age of Prince Eugene of Savoy 1690-1720: The infantry - Volume 3
by Mugnai, Bruno

1-1947603

Third volume of three.

Eugene, Prince of Savoia-Carignano and Count of Soissons, became a general at 24 years old and a Field-Marshal at 27. He is considered to be the most famous commander of the history of the Imperial army. When the French king refused him entry to the army, Eugene went to Austria, where he soon showed his worth not only on the field of battle, but in the field of diplomacy where he was known throughout Europe as 'the secret emperor.'

This three volume series examines the Imperial Army's organization, equipment, and uniforms as well as its history and evolution to the time of the great Italian captains.

Includes eight full-color pages, with many b/w illustrations and maps. Italian text, but English captions to images. All color plates have full English translations.
