I SOLDATI DI NAPOLEONE
1-194991
In this volume we present the collection taken from The Memorial of Saint Helena by Emmanuel, Comte de Las Cases, with beautiful illustrations by French artist Charles Louis Bombled. The work is based on two large volumes published by the Garnier brothers in Paris in 1895. It consists of almost 2,000 pages in total, with over 240 color illustrations on the life of Napoleon on the island of his last exile, and also of the main events describing the glories of the emperor.
Many of the illustrations feature troops, whether those of Napoleon, the enemy, or the allies, in which Napoleon's soldiers are shown either on campaign or in barracks, involved in victory charges or in disastrous retreats. Ordinary soldiers, non-commissioned officers, officers, and warrant officers are included all men following the 'Great Corsican' who tolerated his choices, decisions, results and, all things considered, his charm.
