GUNBOAT: Tactical Naval Combat with Minor Ships

GUNBOAT is a tactical naval wargame that recreates naval battles between gunboats and small sailing ships in the last quarter of the XVIII century and the first quarter of the XIX century. These 'flotilla'of small craft were used to patrol coastal areas, attack small vessels and sometimes larger ships near the coast.

Historical examples of small flotilla actions include; Spanish attacks on Gibraltar, Danish attacks on British in the Baltic Sea, Combats near Cadiz in the Peninsular War, Barbary corsairs attacks in the Mediterranean to include the war of the US Navy against Barbary estates (1801-1805), and the naval battles in the 1812 war in the Great Lakes, and Lake Eire.

GUNBOAT is designed specifically to play with the 18mm Naval Crew miniatures from WARMODELLING MINIATURES and the Gunboats made by Laser Dream Works.
