Telenik was born in 1964; in 1995 he graduated from the Kharkov Arts Academy majoring in commercial art and began his career at advertising agencies. Along with his regular job he began his painting on military and history subjects; further, the artist collaborated with several leading Russian publishing houses, such as Emperor and Armies and Battles. From 2003 to 2010 the Kharkov Artistic Gallery DAIS maintained Telenik's personal exhibit. Today his work is primarily stored in private collections around the globe.
