Originally published in 1973, this reprint covers the campaign in France and Flanders through the largely successful evacuation of British and French soldiers, albeit minus most of their equipment. It is written by one who served in the campaign, admittedly as a very junior officer, and was himself evacuated from the beaches of the Dunkirk perimeter. Also includes the final evacuation from Nantes and St Nazaire on 18 June. Includes 32 black and white illustrations.
