Ravenfeast is a set of rules from Little Wars TV. Ravenfeast's 44 pages offer a good introduction into wargaming, the historical period, and how to start out from pretty much nothing. They have managed to pack a lot into this step-by-step book and explore a lot of concepts that might be alien to new wargamers.

Expanded Rules and Extras:

Rune Cards can be downloaded and printed off at home and they give you once-a-game powers which often allow you to break the core rules and do something fun and different. You'll have to work out just when you should be using these to get the most from them.

You can also play with Geld -- a currency which can be spent and stolen from the warbands in play. Much like with Rune Cards, they allow you to get minor bonuses like rerolls, Rune Cards, or maybe even a new Berserker pledged to your cause! The amount of Geld fluctuates during gameplay so time your purchases wisely.

Additionally, you'll also find options for playing BIG games of Ravenfeast with smaller scale models or simply larger 28mm forces and options for making an Anglo-Saxon warband too.
