Commences with the landings by XIII Corps on 10 July 1943 (Operation Husky) between Avola and Cassibile and covers the inland advance along the eastern coastal road on the invasion's right flank. Eventually stalemated on the Catania Plain, XXX Corp's left hook around Mount Etna eventually allowed the XIII Corps to continue the advance until the Germans were chased off Sicily.
