Details his career and advancement, including how he completed a full tour that included the famous Lubeck raid, the Thousand Bomber assault on Cologne, and the follow up on Essen during which he was almost shot down over Antwerp. Discusses how he was captured and escaped the Germans several times until the Russian Army liberated the camp he was held at. His post-war career took him to Canada where he was employed on the Avro Arrow project until it was abandoned and he was forced to seek work in the USA. Contains 30 mono illustrations.
