Most of his 13-year reign as king of Macedon was spent in hard campaigning which conquered half the then-known world, during which he never lost a battle. Details the famous set-piece battles (Granicus, Issus, Gaugamela, and Hydaspes) plus countless smaller actions while marching through hostile territory.
