Edited by Wilson, John and Stephen Ede-Borrett PENINSULA PRESS: Gallipoli News Sheet
The Peninsula Press was a news sheet produced throughout the campaign from May 1915 to Jan 1916. Initially it was produced daily, but as the campaign continued, it reduced in frequency to weekly. Except for the first issue, it was always a single sheet with two columns containing a wide range of information covering military information from all of the other theaters, as well as political stories from around the world. It also on occasion included information on actions that had taken place on the Gallipoli Peninsula. All 96 editions have been brought together in this single volume.1 vol, 298 pgs

Kannengiesser, Hans THE CAMPAIGN IN GALLIPOLI
Major General Hans Kannengeisser was initially employed to conduct an inspection of the Ottoman forces in Northern Anatolia, to assess their ability to mobilize for war; but on the outbreak of war, he found that his role would significantly change. Initially expecting to be recalled to Germany, he was given the Ottoman rank of Pasha and led the 9th Division of Von Sanders' fifth army during the Gallipoli campaign. This book offers a rare opportunity to study the campaign on Gallipoli from the Central Powers side and takes care to pay tribute to the courage of all the combatant nations.1 vol, 237 pgs

Balkoski, Joseph OMAHA BEACH: D-Day, June 6, 1944
In this unforgettable narrative of D-Day, Joseph Balkoski describes the minute-by-minute combat as it unfolded on Omaha Beach, allowing soldiers to speak for themselves as they recall their attempts to maneuver bombers through heavy cloud cover, the claustrophobic terror aboard transports, and the relentless fire that greeted them on the beach. Equal parts oral history and meticulous reconstruction, Omaha Beach is the closest the modern reader can get to experiencing the Normandy landings firsthand. Contains 34 black and white photos and 27 maps.1 vol, 436 pgs

Balkoski, Joseph UTAH BEACH: The Amphibious Landing and Airborne Operations on D-Day, June 6, 1944
Although the assault on Utah Beach ultimately became one of the most successful military operations of World War II, its outcome was anything but certain. Not only was Utah the most isolated of the five D-Day beaches, but the airborne assault was of unprecedented size and complexity. Despite the perils, American troops confidently cascaded into that far corner of Normandy and contributed decisively to the Allied triumph on D-Day. With verve and authority, Balkoski describes how that victory was won. Contains 35 black and white photos.1 vol, 404 pgs

Trumpess, Charles A HISTORY OF THE GUARDS ARMOURED DIVISION: 1941-1945
Examines how the decision to raise a Guards Armoured Division came about and why the idea met with such strong opposition. Takes an in-depth look at the training, equipment, and culture of the Brigade of Guards, and how that influenced the two formations' preparedness for war. Explores how the Guards were able to adapt to changing conditions on the battlefield and adopt new operational and tactical procedures. Reveals why the Guards' armored formations were hurriedly disbanded in June 1945. Also discloses why it took over a decade to publish the 'official' history of the Guards Armoured Division. Contains 12 mono illustrations.1 vol, 224 pgs
